Ten Surprise Performances That Are Pretty Darn Awesome

I love a good surprise, don’t you? I also love music. Either one in its own is great. Combine the two and it’s a guaranteed good time. Well, it is for me at least. And maybe for you. We shall see, because for this week’s Music Monday I bring you some of the best musical surprises the internet has to offer.

1.Lion King on an Airplane – Imagine sitting on a plane and suddenly having front row seats to the theater! These people got quite a treat when the Lion King Australia cast began to burst into song from their seats.

2. Kentucky All State Choir – National Anthem – Every year the kids competing in the Kentucky All State Music conference gather each night outside of their hotel rooms to sing the national anthem above the atrium. All those voices singing from all those floors at the same time are just breathtaking.

3. Orchestral Flash Mob in Spain – Oh how I wish I could be somewhere when one of these flash mobs happens. Just once, OK God?

4.Michael Bublé in the Subway – Who’s Lovin’ You – Michael Bublé joined a group of acapella singers in the subway. Oh, how I miss New York City.

5. Flash Mob Proposal – All You Need is Love – Acapella. Beatles. Love. This one gets all the heart eyes. All of them.

6. Perth Train Sing Along – Bob Marley – Don’t you worry about a thing. You’re gonna love this one because everyone joins in. Cool stuff.

7. Library Flash Mob – Another one from Spain. This time in a library. Love it!

8.  Orchestral Flash Mob in Germany – Beethoven’s Ode to Joy starts with a little girl playing a recorder. Sehr gut!

9. Acapella Soul – Lion Sleeps Tonight – On the streets of New York. Did I mention I miss New York?  This is so wonderful.

10.Maroon 5 – Sugar – Last but certainly not least.  Maroon 5 actually crashed weddings (only the grooms knew in advance) to make this video. Can you imagine? I love seeing all the reactions!

That’s it! Hope you enjoyed all of those surprise performances!

O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. – Psalm 95:1
